The challenge
Before the platform, safety processes relied on clipboards, paper forms, and verbal confirmations. Site managers had no easy way to confirm whether inductions were completed or if RAMS documents had been reviewed.
Compliance tracking was inconsistent. Admins spent time chasing paperwork, and operational risk increased across projects.
To address this, the platform needed to:
- Work in poor signal areas
- Guide operatives with clear, simple steps
- Scale across contractors and organisations
The solution
Aecor delivered a mobile app for field operatives and a web-based portal for safety administrators. The app provides a guided process that operatives follow on-site, while the portal allows managers to track inductions, assign roles, and upload documents.
Tasks are logged automatically, giving admins full visibility into compliance. The system uses GPS to confirm location and blocks work from starting if safety steps are skipped.
The platform is built with Laravel, Kotlin, and Swift. Each organisation has its own secure space within a shared infrastructure.
